Costix: Agentic Cloud Cost Estimator

Advanced cost intelligence and analysis platform for multi-cloud environments.

Overview

Costix is an agentic, fully conversational cloud cost estimator designed to create accurate, real-world cost projections for new applications, workloads, and data platforms. Unlike static calculators, Costix uses multi-agent intelligence to understand requirements, validate assumptions, and guide users end-to-end through a structured estimation workflow.

It produces not just numbers, but leadership-ready and engineering-ready outputs that support confident decision-making across teams. Costix works across four phases, each improving clarity and accuracy:

Costix

Phases

Phase 1: Information Gathering

Costix asks what you're building, expected usage, architecture choices, performance needs, regions, scaling patterns, and any assumptions required for accuracy.

Goal: Build a complete and validated requirement set without manual effort.

Phase 2: Solution Generation

Costix converts requirements into a high-level architecture, mapping cloud services, explaining how components fit together, and highlighting trade-offs or alternative approaches.

Goal: Provide a clear, review-ready solution outline for engineering and leadership.

Phase 3: Technical Requirements

Costix produces a Technical Requirements Document (TRD) with instance types, sizes, counts, storage configs, networking, scaling policies, and per-service rationale.

Goal: Deliver an engineering-ready specification that can move directly into planning or approvals.

Phase 4: Estimate Generation

Costix generates a detailed cost estimate using region-specific cloud pricing, consumption models, discounts/Savings Plans, markups, and per-component breakdowns.

Goal: Provide transparent monthly and annual projections for budgeting and forecasting.
