Costix
Costix is a conversational, agentic cloud cost estimation engine. It works like a smart architect + FinOps advisor that collaborates with you in real time to create reliable and presentation-ready estimates.
Overview
Costix is designed to streamline cloud cost estimation through an interactive, conversational interface. By leveraging a multi-agent framework, it gathers requirements, generates tailored cloud solutions, defines technical specifications, and produces detailed cost estimates through natural dialogue.
The system operates across four key phases—Information Gathering, Solution Generation, Technical Requirements, and Estimate Generation—with specialized agents working together to deliver accurate, structured, and comprehensive cost projections.

Understanding the Workspaces
Left Panel - Conversational Interface
This is where all user interaction takes place:
- Describe requirements
- Answer to Costix’s questions
- Refine Inputs
- Ask for alternatives or clarifications
- Use quick replies or type freely
Users can interact naturally using free text or quick responses.
Right Panel - The Thought Process Window
This shows Costix’s reasoning:
- Interpreted requirements
- Generated solution
- Technical Specifications
- Cost estimates
Phases
Phase 1: Information Gathering
Purpose: Build a complete and validated requirement set without manual effort.
Costix asks what you're building, expected usage, architecture choices, performance needs, regions, scaling patterns, and any assumptions required for accuracy.

Phase 2: Solution Generation
Purpose: Provide a clear, review-ready solution outline for engineering and leadership.
Costix converts requirements into a high-level architecture, mapping cloud services, explaining how components fit together, and highlighting trade-offs or alternative approaches.

Phase 3: Technical Requirements
Purpose: Deliver an engineering-ready specification that can move directly into planning or approvals.
Costix provides a detailed technical insights outlining recommended instance types, sizes, resource counts, storage configurations, networking architecture, and the reasoning behind each service decision.

Phase 4: Estimate Generation
Purpose: Provide transparent monthly and annual projections for budgeting and forecasting.
Costix generates a detailed cost estimate using region-specific cloud pricing, discounts, markups, and per-component breakdowns.

Use Cases
Reusable templates for common estimation scenarios: The Use Cases section provides reusable templates for common estimation scenarios, helping standardize and accelerate the estimation process.
Examples:
- Cloud migration
- Pre-project budgeting
- Data warehouse setup
- Snowflake + Databricks Implementations
Each use case can include:
- Standard assumptions
- Growth patterns
- Architecture guidelines
- Budget constraints
- Environment rules
When a user selects a use case, Costix automatically preloads the relevant inputs and configurations, ensuring consistency and reducing manual effort.
